ENTO AND DESIGNMIND

(posted on 25 July 2024 - Eventi)

Ento supports with four scholarships the second and third edition of DesignMind, the academy that combines design and psychology founded in 2023 by architect Lorenzo Palmeri and the journalist Paolo Casicci. A collaboration started during the Milan Design Week 2024 which continued in July with the school's summer campus.

Believing in the high cultural value of training, considered a fundamental tool for stimulating virtuous growth of companies and the territory, Ento supports the school which has one of its founding objectives in the connection with the territory. Based on direct experience and a lively exchange with teachers, DesignMind aims to deal with the concrete needs of the places that host it, according to a methodology that enhances their specificities and vocation. All in the name of transversality, and with attention to topics that are normally considered taboo in traditional teaching such as error management, failure, economic demands, insecurity. A multidisciplinary approach that Ento believes is necessary to promote skills capable of responding to the increasingly complex challenges of the contemporary world.

From Fuorisalone to a village surrounded by natureAfter the success of the first edition held in the Piedmontese village of Castellania Coppi (AL) in July 2023, Lorenzo Palmeri and Paolo Casicci first brought the second edition of DesignMind to Milan, at the Fuorisalone 2024, to now focus on the third, from the 19th to the 24th July, which was held again in Castellania Coppi, a location chosen for its richness in history, culture and biodiversity. The campus calendar included workshops, interventions by partner companies, meetings with designers, psychologists and journalists.

The third edition of DesignMind

The title of the summer school was "Design is unframing", the theme was how to free oneself from external conditioning to learn to see reality (and design). As always, the project was based on a teaching approach with an innovative and transversal approach, which involved students from all over Italy in a profound reflection on design and the future of the design profession.

«We have chosen to support the DesignMind academy because we appreciate its multidisciplinary and concrete training approach – comments Fabrizio Salice, CEO of Ento, who spoke during one of the meetings – Investing in training, for a company, is synonymous with cultural growth: connections and synergies are created that can lead to unexplored visions".

Fabrizio Salice participated along with Maddalena Padovani, editor-in-chief of Interni; Alessandro Colombo managing director of AD Education Italia; counselor Erika Sartori; gallery owner and curator Claudia Pignatale, founder of Secondome; Fabrizio Esposito, creator and soul of Alvar Aaltissimo; Stefano Mirti, designer, lecturer, partner of IdLab; architect Marialaura Rossiello Irvine; psychologist and researcher Alice Chirico; and Michele Canova, record producer, arranger and sound engineer.

Together with Ento they have chosen to support the third edition of DesignMind: Gruppo Saviola, Berto Salotti, Archiformazione, Zanta Pianoforti.
